Azaleas behind Neptune?!

Well, actually, they're on the North side of Neptune, but he owns them! That's some serious looking roadbed leading from the new North Neptune Switch. Looks like the roadbed crew is just about through in this area.

We thought to ask Neptune what he knew of this new construction, but all he wanted to rave about was the beauty of colorful flowers. No, not characteristic of the old gent at all, but he can keep a secret when it's worth his while.

One new grade crossing!

Wow! While we were concentrating on the new roadbed, someone's come in and laid a whole lot of track. Appears they did a pretty neat job, too.

He may claim ignorance, but after all it is in plain view from his knoll!

I think things are beginning to make sense. These new switches and crossing, don't they create a second return path by Neptune's Knoll? Oh, of course the Bronze Trio benefits too, but we've not heard much from them . . . .

The Horseman Connection!

But here's another possibility. Horse is sort of looking the other way, is that just his way of keeping a low profile? Let's see, if you take the Beyond the Briars Route and then use the new crossing. . . . Of course, he gets traffic on both sides of his plaza! Don't suppose he's jealous of Hercules, now do you?

The Crossing Plantings

Well, I guess those folks brought in their own planting crew, too. Looks pretty good, but sure hope they get some mulch around those sets of monkey grass soon. Something tells me they may be expecting passenger service to begin on the new line soon!
